Motivating Employees
It is not easy to motivate employees, especially if they have been doing the same jobs for years. However, as a manager, it is your job to encourage your staff to do their work, and do it well. How to do it? Here are some tipz:

Give your employees freedom to handle their jobs.
This is a great way to encourage them as they will feel that they are on top of things, especially if it’s about doing their tasks and making decisions for their projects. This will also allow them to feel a sense of ownership in what they do.
You can also offer flex-time benefits which will allow employees to decide when to work where they can be more motivated and do more tasks.
Everyone likes to hear that they are doing well at their jobs. Have your employees plot their own goals. Monitor their achievements and acknowledge them. Give constructive criticisms as well. These will help them make further improvements.

Create a rewards system – may it be a promotion or a raise. You can base this on their achievements  which in turn are based on the goals that they have made. You can also opt to do profit sharing if the company has done well on a particular fiscal year, or if the company has received a substantial amount of money from a client.
