Male Skin Care
Just because we’re men, doesn’t mean we can go around having rough and dry skin. For some reason, the ladies like soft, smooth skin on their men as well. So I now present you some tipz on the basics of skincare.
Manufacturers seem to be aware of the grooming needs among men, and hence many have developed grooming products specific to males. You can always select the best product that is suitable for your skin – dry, oily, or sensitive. You can always ask your dermatologist (if you have one), if you are confused about your skin type.
There are three basic skin care products that everyone has to have – cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. You use this twice a day – in the morning, as part of your personal grooming to start the day, and in the evening, just before you go to bed. The cleanser is used to wash away the dirt and grime off your face. You follow this up with a toner which removes residue from cleansers and shaving creams. It also tightens your pores and make your skin smoother. The last thing you apply is a moisturizer. You can choose one with SPF which acts as a sunblock.
Don’t forget to invest in good shaving implements too – shaving cream, and a good high quality electric razor.
If you have acne, you can refer to your dermatologist for products that will help clear your skin.
One other product is a lip balm. Don’t cringe. Lip balms are great products to help moisturize lips. They prevent chapping and they keep the lips smooth for smooching. There are lip balms which do not come in any specific flavor, and which don’t leave a telling sheen on the lips.
