For Women with Boyish Figures: How to Look More Feminine

July 5, 2010 | In: Apparel, Fashion, Women's Fashion

Women with boyish figures may find it frustrating to look for clothes which would make them more feminine. Here are some tips on how to do exactly that:

If you have broad shoulders, try to downplay shoulders by wearing tops with low or scooped necklines such as v-necks. If you are wearinga collared shirt, try to unbutton a few buttons. Try to wear more sleeveless tops and tang tops, but just make sure that the armhole and strap ends along the width of the chest.

If you have narrow hips, try wearing light-colored pants with thick material, or those which have thick waitsbands. Partner with long tops that overlap your pants. Try also those which bulk along the hips.

If you have a flat chest, try wearing frilly tops. Lace over the bust area or some other decorative details can make the chest look bigger.

If you have a flat butt, you can also try wearing pants or bottoms which have bulky pockets, or embroidery or designs on the backpockets. You can also wear pants that hug the part of the spine where it starts to arc to your bottom.
