How Not to Procrastinate When You Work at Home

Working at home is not as easy as you think it is. The perk of having your own time can also work against you if you do not watch yourself carefully. Here are some suggestions which can help you to not give in to procrastination:
Plan your work. A calendar, or a planner, or even a notebook, or post-its can help a lot with this. Once you receive an assignment, work out a doable time line.
Estimate how much time you will need to finish the project. Give yourself a deadline. If the assignment is a big one, you can break it into smaller tasks which you can assign mini deadlines.
Stick to your plan. Make sure you work out a realistic timetable so that it would be easy to follow.
Set your work hours. Choose your optimum hours. This can be in the evening, or in the morning. Assign yourself 6-8 hours of work (include small breaks and lunch of course), just like how it goes in a regular office.
