How to Add Height through Dressing
Petite women don’t need to wear heels all the time to look taller. Just a bit of dress-up trickery can add inches like magic!
Wear vertical stripes. It can not only create an illusion of height, it can alsodo wonders if you wish to look slimmer. Horizontal stripes are a no-no.
Large prints can only dwarf your appearance.Try clothes with small prints instead.
Try not to choose clothes that have large ruffles and billowy sleeves.
As for skirts, straight, tapered ones work best for the petite figure.
Remember to keep clothes lengths (and everything else) in shorter proportions as well. Hemlines of dresses should skim just below the knees. Avoid chunky, oversized jackets and sweaters.
Pants should fit exactly. Sagging pants will make legs look shorter. If possible, avoid cuffs.
As for footwear, sling-backs and sleek pumps would make legs appear longer, especially if worn with matching stockings or tights.
