How to Alleviate Back Pain

Back pain can be caused by many things. Here are some tipz on how to ease the ache. However, it is always best to see a doctor for a correct diagnosis. He can give you the appropriate cure.

Relax and breathe slowly. Back pain can come from overly tensed muscles. What you’ll need to do is to try and ease these muscles. Take a few minutes to sit or lie down in a quiet place. Make sure that you are comfortable. Breathe in and out slowly. Repeat until you feel yourself relaxed and the pain eases.

If you’re working long hours, the least you can do is to stand up and stretch gently. Have your feet planted slightly apart. Place your hands at the small of your back with the pads of your thumbs out. Keep your knees straight and bend slowly and gently backwards. Hold for 3 seconds, straighten up and just repeat four times.

If you’re about to sleep after a long, tiring day, don’t forget to use a fat pillow as a cushion. You can place one under your knees while lying on your side. It will help ease back pain by easing pressure off the spine.
