How to Avoid a Cold

coldThe common cold is caused by any of 200 plus viruses. Here are some tipz on how to prevent getting a cold and its annoying symptoms (fever, watery eyes, nasal congestion, a runny nose, cough, and sore throat).

People who are stressed can be prone to getting a cold because the immune system is weakened. So when you are under stress, try to rest and take multivitamins to toughen your immune system.

Keep your hands away from your nose, mouth, and eyes.  Wash your hands often. There are hand sanitizers available in the market. You may want to buy a handy one which you can bring with you in your purse when you go out.

Avoid people who are coughing or sneezing. Or if you can’t help it, cover your mouth and nose.

Get plenty of rest maintain a healthy diet. Exercise too can strengthen one’s immune system. And don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids.

Take vitamin C. Ask your doctor for how much you should take. Some studies say that vitamin C helps boost your immune system.
