Less Stress at Work
We all know just how stressful work can be, specially if there are always deadlines to be met and clients to be appeased. Here are some tips on how to have a more relaxed time at work so you can be more happy and better yet, more productive!
Get plenty of sleep the night before. Irate people tend to get into conflicts not only at work but anywhere else – even at home. Most people get irritated because they did not get enough rest before going to work. The best way to ensure this is to have a routine sleep schedule. For example, impose on yourself that you can’t stay up beyond 11 PM during work nights. This way, you will ensure yourself of always having enough rest.
Wake up early. If you sleep early and if you get enough rest, then you will be able to wake up early. Set your alarm clock so that you have enought time to do everything without hurrying yourself. Allow yourself a 15-minute allowance just in case you run into some snags, yet won’t leave you frazzled going to work.
Work in the office, relax at home. This way, you can take a break and get away from work. Bringing work home with you will only add to job stress, not to mention having less quality time with yourfamily.
Let go of small annoyances. Remember that your co-workers are human beings. They too have their own quirks and irritating habits. Be the better adult and don’t sweat it if co worker A did not greet you back, or if co worker B’s pens tend to find themselves on your desk.
If you can ask help for tasks (or if you are fortunate enough, delegate), then take advantage of it. Even super heroes need help some times. Just be sure to credit the appropriate people when needed.
