How to Buy the Right Toothbrush

There are many toothbrushes available in groceries, drugstores, and other stores. But what do you choose? Is there such a thing as a toothbrush that is just right for you?
Choose a toothbrush with a head that fits your mouth. Make sure that it can reach the furthest corner of your mouth so you can brush your farthest tooth. Consider this especially if you are buying toothbrush for kids.
Head shape is also important. Although there are those who prefer straight head brushes, you might consider angled ones as well, especially if you do not want your toothrbush to touch your gums if they’re sensitive. Try to manipulate the brush and see if it reaches better or farther.
Grip the handle of the toothbrush and check if it sits comfortably in your hand. Consider also the length of the toothbrush.
Bristles should be soft so that they do not damage gums. If you see blood when you spit out toothpaste, that means you’ve hurt your gums. Consider buying a toothbrush with softer bristles.
There really aren’t much advantages to owning an electric toothbrush, except if you have painful joint conditions, as it will offer more support. Otherwise, having a manual toothbrush is fine as well.
