Choosing the Right Belt
Belts are clothing accessories that are sometimes taken for granted, but these fashion tools have the potential to make a very high statement when it comes to style and fashion. Choosing the right belt, whether it’s just a thin strip of leather or a chunky rhinestone-encrusted one, can actually make or break your look.
There are only two things you have to remember about belts – fit and look. A cute-looking belt won’t help if the fit is uncomfortable.
People with small waists won’t find much problem when it comes to finding belts. They can confidently wear wide strips to accentuate their waists. They can also slung them low on their hipbones.
People with medium and large waists may also wear wide belts, however be sure not to wear belts as a girdle. Wearing belts too tight are not only uncomfortable, but they also make the waist bulge at the sides. Belts should be not too loose and not to tight. There should be no sags anywhere. Check the belt if it fits correctly on your backside. If it doesn’t, don’t buy it.
As for the style part, buy classic belts that come in different materials and fabrics. Make sure that their colors mix well with your current shoes and handbags. Also look for flexibility and versatility in styling. Perhaps, belts that have different buckle options would be a great buy.
