How to Clean a Microwave Oven

February 12, 2010 | In: Cleaning

Cleaning the inside of your microwave is important to prevent bacteria growth which can contaminate the food that you heat with it. Don’t worry. It is as easy as using it.

What you need to do is to get a clean washcloth and soak it with warm water mixed with the juice of one lemon.

Place it inside the microwave and heat it for about a minute. The steam will loosen all the food debris and splatters.

Unplug the microwave oven. Remove the rotating plate inside the oven. Wipe the walls of the microwave with the wash cloth that you used, once the cloth has cooled down a bit. Wipe the plate too.

Get another clean wascloth and wipe the microwave dry. Place the plate back inside.
