Artificial plants can be used to make the home beautiful. Many people have different reasons why they prefer artificial plants from real ones. One, they are inexpensive alternatives, two, they are safer to those who are allergic to plants and flowers. But like any other furniture and furnishing, they too must be cleaned properly for them to avoid gathering dust and dirt.
Spray your artificial plants with plain water once or twice a week. This is preferably if the plants are water-proof. Test on a leaf first. Do this outside and simply leave your artificial plants in a shady portion to dry.
Another method is to use a clean damp cloth to remove the dirt. Wipe the leaves and stems, until all dirt and dust are gone, leaving them clean and shiny.
For bigger water-proof artificial plants, you can take the large pots outisde and hose them down. Use medium pressure. Leave outside to dry.
