How to Clean Cat Urine from Concrete Floors

May 26, 2010 | In: Cleaning, Pets

Concrete absorbs liquid well and when it absorbs pet urine, it’d be sure to leave an unsightly stain.

Be prompt. Get old newspapers or paper towels and soak as much of the urine as possible.

Make a solution of a quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, a quarter cup of baking soda, and a 1 tsp of liquid soap into a plastic bowl. Make sure it’s nonmetal as it would react to metal bowls. Stir using a plastic or wooden spoon. Pour solution into a spritzer bottle.

Spray the affected area. Leave to dry for about 48 to 72 hours. You may repeat this process until the stain is gone.
