How to Clean Chocolate Stains from Clothes

June 1, 2010 | In: Cleaning, Home

Chocolate is not that difficult to remove, especially when it comes to washable fabrics.

Get clean paper towels and wipe excess chocolate. Make sure you scrape the chocolate off lightly so that it doesn’t get too deep into the threads of the fabric.

Get club soda and flush the stains before they can set thoroughly. Use a sponge dipped in water and cleaning fluid to spot treat the stain. Wash the clothes as usual.

You can also treat non washable material that has been stained with chocolate.

Wipe the chocolate away with a clean paper towel or scrape using a spoon. Use club soda to prevent it from setting.

Use a dry spotter instead and blot using an absorbent pad. Use a dry-cleaning detergent to get rid of the rest of the stains.
