Always get ready what you will need to clean. Make sure that they are all within hand’s reach. This will save you time. You can use a window cleaning product or simply mix two cups of white vinegar with water and a teaspoon of dish washing liquid. You can shake this solution in a spray bottle for easier application. You can use old newspapers to dry the window, or any soft old cloth you have in the house that won’t leave lint. have a bucket or bowl of water and a wash rag ready as well.
If your windows have screens, don’t forget to remove them for a good hosing or a good washing in a tub.
Put your curtains in the washer before you start so you’ll have them fresh and nice smelling b the time you’re done with the window cleaning.
When cleaning, start at the top so you don’t have to repeat when the cleaning solution drips down the glass.
Spray your vinegar and water solution on the window. Gently scrub or scrape spots. Spread a sheet of old newspaper or cloth on the flat surface of the glass and pull downwards. Do this until the window is dry and squeaky clean.
Don’t forget to wipe the edges and ledges. You can use a soft dry cloth for this.
