Wood Cleaning Wood Panels

Wood is a wonderful material for panels and walls. They add a warm and traditional ambiance to a room. Here are tipz on how to clean walls and panels made of wood:

Prepare the following materials:

  • oil soap
  • soft cloth
  • soft rags
  • vacuum cleaner
  • mineral spirits (optional)

Make sure that the walls and paneling are free of dust. You can clean wipe it clean with a dry, soft rag or a vacuum cleaner (with brush). You can also do this every two weeks to keep it almost perpetually dust-free.

Apply oil soap to wood using a soft clean cloth. Follow manufacturer’s directions to the letter.

For tougher dirt spots, you may use mineral spirits. Test first on one tiny corner of the wall if it will stain. If not, you can moisten cloth with mineral spirits and dab lightly on stubborn spots. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Be careful when you useĀ  mineral spirits. Make sure that the room is well-ventilated and don’t use near an open heat source.
