Do you have litter problem at home? Here are some simple ways of managing kitty litter use of your precious cat pals.

Think of where you will need to put the litter box. Avoid placing them in main entrances. As much as possible keep away from kitchens, living rooms, and carpets where bacteria from feces can propagate. These bacteria can make humans sick. If placed in a carpeted area, make sure to lay down a newspaper first.

Although litter boxes have poop scooper, make sure that you have one. Remember to scoop your cat’s poop daily as it will not only keep the home smell nice, but it will also keep bacteria from spreading.

Empty out and clean the litter box once a month. Wash and clean it properly with hot water and try not to use harmful chemicals. Let this dry completely. Replace the litter with a fresh bag.

Cats are particular with the litter you use. Observe and choose one that is most compatible with your pet.
