Perspiration Control
There’s no shame in perspiring. After all, this is our body’s natural way to regulate temperature. However, too much perspiration and bad personal hygiene can causeĀ body odor. Here are some tipz on how to control sweating:
There are two types of products that are being sold in the market – deodorants and atiperspirants. Deodorants help control odor while antiperspirants control excessive sweating. There are products which have both. You can opt to use this instead of buying one of each kind. Talcum powder also helps in absorbing sweat. You can sprinkle this in problem areas as well. For feet, cotton socks and foot antiperspirants will do the trick.
Dress in layers so you can control your body temperature. You can just remove or add articles of clothing as needed. For example, wear a blouse or a shirt then layer it with a jacket, or a cardigan, or a sweater. As the day gets warmer, you can discard the jacket then put it back on asĀ the day gets cooler. Natural fabrics such as wool, silk, and cotton allow air to circulate around your body. Consider buying clothes made out of these materials if you are not allergic to them.
Have plenty of liquids throughout the day. Engage in relaxing activities to help reduce your stress levels, especially if this makes you perspire a lot. Enroll in yoga classes or simply give yourself five minutes in the morning and another in the afternoon to meditate.
Observe yourself closely. If you still sweat despite cool temperature and normal relaxed situations then your sweating might be the symptoms of an underlying medical condition. See your doctor just to be safe and sure.
