Cake Saying No to Sweets

Having a sweet tooth is not a problem – that is if you learn to control your sugar intake. Here are some tipz on how to keep those sweets-cravings at bay:

Out of sight, out of mind. Stop buying sweets and storing them in every nook and cranny of your house. The less you see sweets, the less you crave for them.

Know what you want to achieve. What is it that you really want to do? Do you just want to do away with a percentage of the sugar you usually consume? Or do you wish to stop having to do with it altogether? By setting goals, it will be easy to think of steps to help you achieve them.

Try not to be too hard on yourself. Go slowly. Try not to eliminate all sweets the first week. You’ll go cold turkey when you do. Allow yourself a cookie a day, but stop at that.

Reward yourself with a slice of cake or a cup of ice cream after being good for a week. Not only will it motivate you, but it will also lessen the cravings. Or, eat fruit instead. Fruits also have sugar in them, but they are the healthier choice.
