How to Dress for a Wedding Reception

If you’re unsure of what to wear for a wedding reception, here are tipz that you might want to consider:
Always check the invitation. It usually indicates what type of clothes to wear. It can be formal or semi-formal. Some invitations even say if you need wear a specific color, or some other special information.
You can also get a clue from the venue of the reception. If they’re having a reception outside, then you can be less formal. If it’s a ballroom, then formal clothing must be strictly implemented.
Even for more casual receptions, wear something dressier such as khakis or slacks and polo shirts. For girls, dresses or a skirt and a nice top would be okay.
Just make sure that you avoid loud colors and patterns. Too revealing clothes are also inappropriate.
