Restricting Sites on Internet Explorer

Here are some easy steps on how to restrict your Internet Explorer web browser from going to sites that are inappropriate for children and teenagers.

Launch your Internet Explorer and go on top of the browser. You’ll see a “Tools” menu. Click it. Scroll down and choose “Internet Options.” This will launch the console for browser options.

Next, click the “Content” tab. Under the “Content Advisor” is the “Enable” button. Click on it. You can now set the parental controls on your web browser.

Create a password on the “General Tab” by clicking “Create Password.” You’ll be asked to type your password of choice twice. Click “OK” so it can save changes. This password is needed when you need to modify the control settings.

You can choose the category on the “Ratings” tab by dragging the slider to acceptable or unacceptable.

If you wish to add specific websites on you exceptions list, you can type the address of the website on the “Approved sites” tab.

When you’re done adjusting, simply click “Apply” which will save the changes. Click “OK” to close the browser options. Restart Internet Explorer.
