A kitchen or break area is essential for any office. This space provides not only a place where staff can eat, but this also the place where they can relax for a bit, especially on a hard day’s work. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to decorate your new office kitchen:

The area should be comfortable. Seats should be comfortable enough to sit in. There should also be enough to accomodate a good number of people who take their lunch in the office.

The area should be accessible. Make sure that the area’s layout is clear enough for traffic. People shouldn’t be bumping into each other as they are microwaving food, or getting coffee, or washing their utensils.

The area should be functional. You don’t need to invest a lot of money in beverage of snack machines if you don’t have it as of yet (although these can be added later on). You may begin with a microwave ovens, toaster ovens, coffee parts or coffee machines, and refrigerators. Encourage your staff to bring their own utensils but it is always best to have some flatware, drinkware, and silverware especially if you are prone to entertaining clients or other guests.

The area should be cheerful. You don’t need to decorate the kitchen lavishly but at least make sure that are is relaxing and cheerful to help your staff unwind.
