Buying Books
This is for all the bookworms out there. Don’t let the economic downturn rain on your parade. You can still get your literary fix by following these useful tipz:
Used bookstores are like a goldmine. They may be used, but as long as they are in good condition, it really doesn’t matter much, does it? If you look hard enough, you can get classics and rare titles for less than their original prices.
Check clearance sales. These usually come up at least once a year when bookstores need to clear and organize their inventory. You can always get new books for much less this way.
Borrow books from your local library. Library cards cost next to nothing. Sure, you’d have to return them eventually but this is a good way of checking books out. There are books that we tend to buy, thinking that they’ll be good reads, but you end up being disappointed.
Swap books with friends. Gather people who also love to read and organize a book swap. You can take turns reading your favorite titles and new best sellers.
Get them online. There are books that are available online for free. If you are technologically inclined, you can check websites and download titles you wish to read on your handheld or your laptop.
