Getting Maternity Clothes
Congratulations! In a few months time, you’ll be welcoming a new addition to your family. Babies are always a blessing despite the sore back and ankles, and the morning sickness and not to mention the agony of finding the right maternity clothes. Here are a few tips on how to build your maternity wardrobe:
It doesn’t mean that because of the changes your body is undergoing during pregnancy you’d also have to dress down. Enhance those curves and that wonderful glow that pregnant women can only have. There really is no reason for you not to look good and feel good about yourself.
Do not attempt to buy a large amount of maternity clothes early on. Your body will go through different changes as each month comes along so just buy along as needed. You can start with the basics though.
A pair of jeans is always timeless. You can dress it up or dress it down just by changing tops and accessories. You can buy a pair with elastic waistline and a fit that skims your figure.
Like jeans, you can also never go wrong with a versatile pair of black pants and skirt for work or for evenings out. Again, if you need a quick change from office attire to evening, you can always bring a change of top and some accessories with you.
A crisp white button down shirt is a classic look. Paired with jeans, you look cool and clean. Paired with a pair of black slacks, you look efficient and professional. And with a slitted black skirt, you look elegant and sexy.
For a more casual look, a white shirt can also do wonders. Pair it with a cute cardigan and you’re ready for a day out.
You can deviate from these basics. Buy items in different colors and prints. The key here is to find the right style and cut for your figure and you can just mix and match as you go along.
