How to Get Rid of Gum from Clothing

Are you prone to sitting on bubblegum or getting such stuff stuck to your clothes? Here are some suggestions on how to get rid of chewing gum off clothes:

Always check the label of your clothes. Some of the methods in this post might damage the fabric. If all else fails, it is best to go to a professional cleaner.

Spray the offensive gum with a bit of hairspray. Let it stay a little while until the spray is dry and the gum has become brittle. Peel it off quickly.

Get an ice cube from the freezer and rub it on the gum. Wait until the ice hardens the gum and scrape it off with a dull knife. Be careful not to damage the fabric.

Pour a little white vinegar in a dish and heat it in the microwave oven. Get a clean cloth and dip it in the vinegar. Rub

Dip the gum in hot vinegar and rub this at the gum. When the gum starts to loosen, peel it off.
