How to Hold an Engagement Party

Are you going to hold an engagement party yet not sure how to go about on things? Here are some tips to help you with your problem:
It is usually the bride’s family who hosts the engagement party. They are the ones who take care of inviting people and choose what kind of party to have – whether a buffet, sit-down dinner, or cocktails. If the bride’s family lives too far or if they can’t afford it, the groom’s family can also help in taking care of arrangements. In special cases, friends and other family members can take-over as well.
The guests who will be invited will be listed down by the bride and groom-to-be – just like in preparing for the actual wedding.Everything depends on the size of the party. Some couples opt to have a more intimate celebration and only invite immediate family members and very close friends.
If the purpose of the party was not revealed upon invitation, the news can be revealed by the bride as she welcomes guests. She should be accompanied by her fiance. If it is a sit-down dinner, the father of the bride usually delivers a formal toast.
