How to Improve Hand-Eye Coordination Skills
July 28, 2010 | In: Fitness

Hand and eye coordination shows us how fast and how well our brains transmits visual signals to our hand muscles. Having a good hand-eye coordination is good to have for day-to-day taks, specialized work, and especially during emergencies.
Although development is done during childhood, even adults can still practice some exercises or activities that can help them improve this.
Help improve your vision by exercising your eye muscles. Try to rapidly focus on far objects then near objects, alternately.
Sit or stand and relax. Choose a focal point that is at the far end of the room. Choose another focal point which is close to you. You can lift your hand and stick your thumb up in front of you to use as your “near object”.
Try to focus on the far object then the near object, slowly at first then gradually increasing speed. Do this for at least 2 minutes everyday.
You can also try to bounce a ball against the wall and catch it. This is a good way to practice hand-eye coordination. Playing raquet sports is also an alternative to this.
