Kids can be taught how to have a better grasp of language – whether it’s English or any other language. Here is how:
Let your children memorize the spelling of words. To do this, write down words in large print on individual pieces of paper. Stick these paper to the appropriat objects around you. For example, lamp, table, door, window, etc. The more they see the words and associate them with the objects, the easier it is for them to remember the words and the spelling.
Engage them in reading exercises – whether getting involved in storytelling sessions before sleeping, or letting them join children’s book clubs in the local library or bookstore.
Encourage your children to speak their mind. It is not only important to use language, but to use language well in intelligent conversations. Coherence, cohesion, and concisement are important in getting their messages across.
