How to Keep Your Blackberry Smartphone from “Freezing”

July 21, 2010 | In: Cellular Phones, Consumer Electronics

Blackberry smartphones are not immune to freezing or locking up, especially as there are lots of functions and applications that can run simultaneously.

One thing you can do to ensure that your Blackberry won’t freeze is by avoiding downloads of unsupported files, which include e-mail attachments and large files. SOme files can be incompatible with your handheld so do not download anything you are unsure of.

This is also the same with programs and applications. Make sure you download and install those that are available via the Blackberry Store. Otherwise, you run risk of installing unauthorized applications which can also cause your phone to freeze.

Free up your phone’s memory by turning it off once in a while. A good time to do this is when you are charging your phone. The more your phone runs, the more memory your phone needs to store data and run applications.
