Keeping Jeans Looking New
A pair of jeans is one of the most versatile clothing one could ever have in his or her wardrobe. You can dress it up or down, and still be fashionable. So if you have a pair of comfortable and well-fitting jeans, why not make sure they always look brand new?
To start with, make sure that when you do jeans shopping, buy those that fit nicely. Jeans that are too tight undergo more friction and therefore prone to faster wear-and-tear.
Jeans that you want to keep new are the ones that you probably wouldn’t want to wear when you’re gardening or doing other manual labor. Since denim is a very tough fabric, if you don’t sweat a lot in them, you really don’t have to wash them after every time you wear them. You can wear the same jeans 2 to 3 times without washing. Just hang them outside the closet where they can be exposed to air.
Never wash jeans in warm water as cold water is gentler. It will also preserve the original color of the jeans. Cold water also won’t shrink the material. Use liquid detergent as powder has the tendency to not dissolve in cold water.
Another tip when washing your jeans, skip the dryer and use the line instead. Again, heat will do damage to your pair of jeans. It might take a while but trust us, it’s all worth the effort.
Help reduce wrinkles by hanging your jeans instead of folding them and storing them in the closet.

they also don’t fade as fast if you wash them in woolite. it has no lighteners.
