Wooden furniture can be expensive and should be taken care of to make sure that they last for a long time.
Keep your wooden furniture in the cooler and dryer area of your home. If they are placed near heat sources they might shrink, and dampness can cause mold growth.
If you have wooden coffee tables or dining room tables, make sure to use suitable place mats as heat from the utensils can leave a white mark on polished surfaces. This is the same if alcohol/nail varnish remover and plain water. So dry any spillage immediately.
Use lightly damp lint-free cheese cloth to wipe away the dirt. Make sure to use fast strokes along the grain. This will restore the gloss of the polish. Silicone-based commercial spray polishes will damage the wood beneath the finish.
Keep objects from scratching against furniture. If you’re moving furniture, make sure that you remove drawers from cabinets. Pad and cover the wooden furniture if necessary.
