Making a Complaint
Although probably the easiest way is to harangue the manager, there is still a proper way to make a complaint. Here are some tipz on how to complain and get results:
Be respectful. Always state your words politely. Using foul language or insults, and even threats won’t get you anywhere except trouble. Use proactive language when stating your case. This way, the person you are talking to would actually listen to what you have to say.
Be assertive. Be composed and firm in your stand but do not be hostile. If you start lashing out at people, you won’t get the proper reception you are looking for. Rely on facts and don’t accuse. If you do otherwise, the other party will automatically act on the defense instead of trying to focus on your problem.
Be prepared. Remember to have all your details ready when you make a complaint. If you have papers or other forms of documentation that can support your claim, bring them with you.
Be rational and open-minded. Prepare to listen to the other party. Listen to their explanation attentively. This will show that you are a fair individual. They will surely try to make sure to get to the bottom of the matter and will try to help you with your problem.
