Making a Business Presentation

Business presentations can either make or break a project. This is the time when you need to pull out all your guns and kill your audience (whether it’s the big bosses or clients or potential investors) with good impression. Here are some tipz on how to make a successful business presentation:

Stage 1: Planning. A good presentation is not only a well-executed one, but it must also be well-thought out. You’ll base your presentation on your audience. You have to know who they are and what they need to know. It pays well if you research on your particular audience so you’ll know what makes them tick.

Stage 2: Development. Catching and holding their interest is key. Make sure that your facts are all correct. Check your slides. Make sure that they are organized, concise, and comprehensive. Most importantly, make sure you know what you’re talking about. They’ll know once they start asking questions. Make your presentation short but sweet – 10 to 12 minutes should do it.

Stage 3: Delivery. Practice beforehand so you’ll get the timing right. Relax so you won’t appear nervous (if you are). Maintain eye contact and use appropriate vocal emphasis and gestures whenever necessary. Just don’t overdo it.
