How to Make a Wedding Planning List

Research. Browse through wedding planning websites and/or magazines. Mark or make notes on the ideas that you find ideal for your own wedding.
Sit down with a pen and paper. Make sure that you have enough time. Avoid getting distracted by phone calls and such.
First, write pinpoint the major parts of your wedding and write them in columns, such as:
Invitation
Dress
Ceremony
Reception
Under these columns, you can put minor details that you think are relevant to each heading.
For example, under Reception you can include Venue, Caterer, Cake, Decorations, etc.
As you flesh out the finer details, you can add more columns to accomodate them.
