Preventing Table Battles During Dinner

Does your child turn into a monster during mealtime? Before you turn into the adult version of this being, why don’t you try these tips first?

Take some time before going to the grocery to plan a menu. You may argue that you are too busy to note things down, but trust me, spending a few minutes planning your meals for the week will save you time. When planning a menu, make sure that you have something that both you and your children can eat.

Give reasonable serving sizes to your children. Never demand that they eat everything off their plates. To be sure, you can put just enough food on their plates and encourage them to ask for second helpings.

If your children say they don’t want to eat dinner because they’re full, it must be because they had something to eat right before dinner. You may get rid of the afternoon snack, or you can serve them something light and nutritious such as fruits or healthy pudding.
