How To Make Your Dog Very Happy

This isn’t my usual kind of Tip, it’s more of a funny story about my Dog.

My Chocolate Lab Capone just loves to scratch his back by rolling around on the ground. Well, he usually likes to roll in Snow, but here in the front range of Colorado, we don’t have much this year. It’s dry and my lawn is all dried up.

Needless to say Capone is covered in grass and has to be brushed off before he comes in the house about 4 times a day.

So the inventor in me says, problem solved. I went to Walmart and bought a big plastic green door mat.. you know the kind you can hit Golf Balls off of..

So I put it down on Capone’s favorite spot and try to get him to scratch his back on it.. by rubbing his belly.. and at this point I remember. He’s a dog… he’s got no clue what I’m trying to do… why did I just waste $10 on this mat.

He proceeded to get up move five feet away and get covered in dried grass again.

So let me just sum up this story and give a tip that I’m sure some of you might try.

How did I make my Dog very happy after all this?

I grabbed the mat, put it on top of his back like a saddle and then pulled it back and forth.

He was in absolute heaven.. and best of all.. it got all the grass clippings off him.

So if you’ve got an old green plastic mat around.. try toweling your dog off with it.. trust me.. they’ll love it
