Women are always known to be conscious of the way they look. Can’t blame them because somehow looking good gives them the self confidence they need to go through their daily routines and achieve their goals. Part from the face and the body, hair matters most to women.

On the average, a person has approximately 100,000 strands of hair with each growing about one-half inch every month. For the entire year, the hair grows only about six inches long.

Women love to have long hair. Many believe that long hair adds to a woman’s sexiness. But the question is how do you make your hair grow faster than usual? There are techniques, of course, although not all hair growing methods may work for everybody.

Take your vitamins. The hair, just like any part of our body, needs the right vitamins and minerals to grow and stay healthy. Vitamin B is essential and this includes amino acids, B6, biotin and inositol. Folic acid should not be forgotten as well as minerals such as sulfure, zinc, silica and magnesium. In addition, Vitamin A or beta carotene is as important.

Avoid stress. Any form of stress is never healthy so do your best to avoid it. Stress is known to stunt hair growth but anybody can fight it. Do some meditation and relaxation exercises and most of all, get enough rest and sleep. Medical experts have always proven that getting at least eight hours of sleep every day can give the body it’s needed energy for the next day.

Get a trim each month. Those who’d like to grow their hair faster should have their hair trimmed at least every month. This way, you get rid of split ends and you give your hair the chance to grow and become healthy.

Eat healthy. A healthy body reflects a healthy hair. Make sure then to eat a healthy and balanced diet every day to increase your chances of growing healthy and thicker hair. Opt for protein-rich food as well as fruits and green leafy vegetables.

Stay away from the hot stuff. Did you know that hot water and frequent of use of hot hair dryers are unhealthy? These hot stuff may cause damage to your hair.

Mild shampoo and conditioner. Choose only shampoos and conditioners that are mild. With numerous brands and variants available today, make sure to read the labels first before purchasing one.

Use aloe vera. If you have an aloe vera plant in your garden, lucky you. Take off one leaf of the plant and then peel it off the end portion. Inside the leaf is a gel-like substance which you can apply on your scalp before taking a shower. This is an old home remedy that works effectively.

Hair growth products. Various hair growth products are available over the counter. But be sure to consult your dermatologist first before trying one of them especially the supplements. Some hair growth solutions contain chemicals while the others claim to have only organic ingredients such as herbs. The supplements, meanwhile, contain vitamins and minerals vital for growing healthy hair and nails.

These simple tips can help you have a healthier hair but remember that there’s no sure formula in growing hair faster than normal. It’s all a matter of choosing the right products and caring for your hair every day.
