Want to avoid the morning tantrums especially when you are heading late for work? Here are some tipz on how to avoid the extra hustle and bustle in the morning:

Everything starts with a good night’s sleep the night before. To make sure that your children get enough z’s, you also have to make sure that their rooms are designed to be slept in. There should be no distractions such as a TV set. Toys should be put away for the evening. Place a bottle of water on the bedside table so that the kids won’t have to get up. Bed time should be strictly implemented.

Wake up first in the morning. Make sure that you have enough time before the children are woken up. This might mean getting up early so set your alarm accordingly so you’ll be able to shower and have coffee in peace. You might also start preparing the children’s breakfast and lunches if you wish.

Time to wake-up the kids! You can use an alarm clock for the kids. There are specialized alarm clocks which increases light and sound so that children can get out of their deep sleep phase. So by the time you come up to their room, they’re no longer half-asleep and grumpy.

Move the children along to breakfast. Make sure that they have something filling and nutritious as it is the most important meal of the day. After breakfast, they can now finish their personal hygiene stuff. You can help if they need supervision or ask the older kids to help the younger ones so you can finish your own getting ready too.
