Fighting Insomnia
Many factors can be considered for sleepless nights. Here are some tipz on how to fight insomnia so you can have yourself a full night’s worth of beauty sleep:
Sometimes, trying too hard to fall asleep can only have the opposite effect – you’ll stay awake instead. So instead of thinking of falling asleep, focus on other things instead.
Experiment with your sleeping environment. Room temperature, noise, and even the texture of the bed spreads can affect your sleep. Find out which conditions suit you the best and stick with it.
Make a nightly ritual of relaxing before falling asleep. Avoid having caffeine after 4 PM. Take a warm leisurely bath and keep the lights dim. Listen to soft music or a meditation tape. You can also try some light stretching to relax your muscles.
Diet can also affect your sleeping pattern. Have more foods that are high in tryptophan which can help you relax. Foods that are high in trptophan are turkey, figs, bananas, dates, and tuna. You can also have a glass of warm milk before going to sleep.
