How to Organize a Children’s Party Outdoor

Think of a theme. If this is not a surprise party, then you can surely consult with
your child about this. This is important as this is where you will base your
decorations, give-aways, food, drinks, and activities.
Send out invitations and put an RSVP. Include important information as stating that
the party is to be done outdoors. This is so parents can appropriately dress their
children and have them bring stuff they need (i.e. swimsuits, if it’s a pool party,
etc.)
Think of activties which kids can enjoy – at least 3. And don’t forget party bags. They can be stickers, small toys, and candies. Prepare them way before the party and make sure you allot extra.
Prepare extra sunscreen, towels, and bugsprays.
Arrange the venue and make sure it’s
safe and presentable. Mow the lawn and get rid of machines or anything that can cause
accidents. Bring lots of garbage bags outside and arrange chairs, tables, and
umbrellas.
Have a cooler ready outside so you don’t have to go in the house. Have lots of
refreshments, especially in the summer. Bring food outside last so flies don’t gather
around them.
Make sure the bathroom is accessible. Have an adult supervise kids who wish to use the
bathroom. If you can arrange for a portable toilet, this is much better. Bring hand
sanitizers and lots of extra toilet paper.
Have several adults to help you. This is for safety issue making sure that there are lots of eyes on the kids.
Arrange for someone to act as lifeguard if it’s a pool party or if there is water involved.
Always have an indoor back-up plan. This is in case the weather suddenly doesn’t cooperate.
