sweep1How to Organize Your Cleaning Closet

Yup, just because it’s a cleaning closet, it doesn’t mean you neglect to organize the stuff in it. Are you sure that you need all the clutter in there? Here are some tips on what to put inside your cleaning closet so you won’t have to unearth each and every product just to look for that bottle bleach:

Cleansers:
Spot removal products for heavy materials such as carpets and upholstery.

Polishing products such as sprays, waxes, and oils for wood, leather and metal.

Liquid and powder detergents for dishes, clothes and household cleansing. Add all-purpose cleansers for removing grease and grime, and tarnish and stains.

Baking soda to clean glass, tiles, and porcelain.

Tips:
You may buy in bulk and store them at the bottom of the closet.
Transfer some of the products in smaller, portable containers and dispensers. Make sure that they are labeled properly.

Tools:
Vacuum cleaner with a set of attachments.

Floor polisher and scrubber.

A variety of sponges, brushes, and soft cloth or rags.

Mop with a detachable head and a bucket that is divided for washing and rinsing.
