How to Pop Zits

Zits can be literally and figuratively a pain so it’s not uncommon for teenagers to pop them. The thing is, most do not do it properly. Here are some tips on how to do it with finesse:
Inspect the zit. Make sure that the pimple has a head (that dried pus on top). If it doesn’t, then don’t pop it. Wait until it grows a head. Before then, just keep it clean by washing your face in the morning and in the evening before you go to sleep. Do not wear make-up if you can.
Once the zit is ready to pop, wash your hands thoroughly. Prepare a warm compress and place it directly on the zit. If the pus trickles out, then you don’t have to do the actual popping, if not, proceed to the next step.
Get a sewing needle and sterilize it by alcohol or by running the tip through an open flame.Ever gently poke the zit with the sterilized tip of the needle. Don’t make it deep, just enough so that you make a tiny opening for the pus to come out.
Squeeze with tissue or gauze, never with bare fingers or fingernails. Do not press too hard.Just enough to get the rest of the pus out. If you’re starting to bleed, then that’s the time to stop.
Wash your face and hands again after wards. Keep the area of the now-popped zit clean.
NOTE: There are pimples who do not grow heads. Same thing. Just keep them clean and they will go away soon enough. If you pop a headless zit (if there is such a thing), you will only push the pus deeper, not to mention spread the bacteria over the rest of your skin.
