Make sure that the glass is clean. You may want to put the mug or glass in the fridge as a warm glass can affect the taste of the beer.
Once the mug or glass is chilled, the first thing to do is to tilt the glass in about a 45 degree-angle. Don’t pour beer to spatter on the bottom of the glass. Aim at the middle of the tilted glass and as you steadily pour, straighten it back up.
Allow about half an inch of foamy head on the top. This will keep your beer from going flat quickly.
