How to Prepare Vegetarian Food for a Party

August 11, 2010 | In: Cooking, Food, Nutrition, Special Occassions

This depends on what kind of vegetarian the people in attendance are. If they are lacto-ovo-pesto (those who can eat dairy products, eggs, and fish) vegetarians, it would be easier to plan for food. If it’s the stricter kind, although you might need to do a lot more thinking, there is always a way.

Start thinking of appetizers. Crackers and vegetable sticks or slices are always good appetizers. You can also have small croquettes made from potato. Salad is of course easy with dressing made from balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

For the main dishes, you can have never go wrong with vegetable pasta, vegetarian pizza, casserole made from rice and vegetables. You can also have tacos with a filling of strictly vegetables.

For dessert, you can have fruit salad, and there are bakeshops that actually serve vegetarian cake and desserts.
