Preparing for an Exam

It’s September once again and we all know it means the start of a new school year. At some point, students would have to go through the often exasperating task of exam-taking. Here are some tipz on how to prepare yourself on the day of an exam, make it a little more bearable:

Granted that you haven’t neglected to study days (or even weeks) before the exam, all you have left to do is to survive the day of the exam. It’s quite simple, but like we said, you would have to make sure that you reviewed well for the actual exam itself. This is essential for a calm, hassle-free test-taking. Students who cram the night before or those who don’t study at all are the ones who end up being stressed.

Prepare the stuff you need to bring to school on the evening before the exam. Make sure that you have pens, a white out, sharpened pencils, and an eraser (plus a calculator if you’re taking a Math test) ready in your bag.

Have a good night’s sleep. Do not cram. This won’t do you good.

Wake up early and eat properly. Junk food, especially those that contain a lot of sugar, will not nourish your brain. However, try not to eat too much. Otherwise you’ll get into a food coma and be too sleepy to take the test properly.

Stop looking at your notes, these will only make you anxious. Just focus on staying calm and collected.

As you sit down, do some breathing exercises. This will get oxygen to your brain. Relax, and take the test.
