Preventing Back Pains
Sometimes we abuse our body by working too hard while. We can always avoid body aches if we just take a little time to take a few precious precautions.
A rolled cushion or a backrest to be put in the car seat or while sitting behind your desk for back support can go a long way. If you have the resources, you can also replace the bed mattress with a supportive one.
Good posture also helps prevent back pain. Stand and walk tall and straight. Not only will it strengthen abdominal muscles, but it will also help the spine in staying aligned.
When picking things up, do not bend over from the waist. Bend your knees. By all means, ask for help if you need to carry something heavy.
Swimming is a great exercise for relaxing. Any form of water sport not only stretches tensed muscles, but water supports the body instead.
Stay slim and healthy. Extra weight puts pressure on your bones. Shed off excess pounds through a healthy diet and steady exercise.
Drink milk or eat food rich in calcium. You can also take calcium supplements (consult your doctor before taking anything). They will help in making your bones grow stronger.
