
Some people eat because they’re depressed. Some eat because they’re stressed. While others eat because they have nothing else to do. If you’re one of those people, then here are some tips on how you can fight the urge to eat when you are bored.
If you’re going to eat, might as well eat healthy. Throw away the salty, sugary, and unhealthy snacks you’ve been nibbling on and replace them with yogurt, fruit, and cut up vegetables. Nuts, and butter and salt free popcorn are good choices too.
Stay busy. If the reason why you are eating is because of boredom, then make sure you don’t get bored. Stop procrastinating on tasks and errands. Take up hobbies and new interests. Get into sports and fitness activities.
Ask help from loved ones and friends. They can make sure that you stay out of boredom and eating. If you’re with other people you’ll find it difficult to think about food.
