Hair loss is not an uncommon problem and can easily be remedied. Hair loss can happen due to many reasons.
One of which is hair breakage from chemicals used in hair treatments. Hair coloring, lotions and solutions for perming and straightening can cause hair damage. If you swim a lot, chlorine from the swimming pool can easily cause this.
Another reason is if you do not wash your hair often. Scalp that is covered with oil and dirt can block the pores of the scalp.
Hormones can also be reason for hair loss. Ladies who are in menopause or those who have hormonal imbalance can have this also. Better consult with your physician.
Genes can also have a hand on hair loss. Premature baldness can be hereditary.
Stress on hair from too much styling like putting up hair in a severe upstyle or pony tail can also result into hair loss.
To prevent hair loss, try to eat healthy. Make sure you get enough protein, iron, calcium, and vitamin E in our daily diet.
Get a trim every three months. This will keep hair from getting split ends. It is also nice to condition hair at least once a week.
If you need to apply heat to your hair, you can either spray a heat protector before styling or have your hairdryer turned to cold setting.
Remember to wash your hair at least every other day.
Hair loss can also be a symptom of an illness, so to be err on the safe side, consult your physician.
