How to Properly Respond to a Missed Call

If you received a missed call from someone what do you do? Here are some etiquette guidelines in returning a missed call.
It is always better to return a call as soon as possible. If it took you thirty minutes or more, before returning a call, offer an apology and a quick explanation why you weren’t able to answer the call.
You may have your voice mail activated if you know that you are going to do something wherein you can’t be disturbed such as being in a meeting, etc. This is also a good way for screening unwanted calls. You don’t have to return a call from people you don’t know.
If you can’t return a call immediately, you may reply through text. This too is acceptible. Say that you are not able to answer the call presently and give a specific time when the caller can call back.
