How to Recycle 001

February 18, 2009 | In: Cleaning, Pets

recycle1Here are some tips on how to recycle old stuff. You don’t have to throw them away. Re-use!

Junk mail
Announcements and flyers are usually printed only one side, leaving the other free for use. You can cut these sheets in half or quarters and place them in an old shoe box which you can place beside the phone or on the kitchen counter. It can be used as scratch paper for putting down notes.

Empty grated cheese jars
These old jars can be used as dispensers for baking soda and cleansing powders. This way, you can buy cleansers in bigger pouches which will save you several trips to the store.

Candle stubs
Use candle stubs as drawer lubricant. You can also stick pins and needles to them so that they can slide easily through heavy materials, especially denim.

Old belts
Do not discard old leather belts. Cut them to size, and attach a metal ring to the buckle for identification and license tags. This would be a cool dog or cat collar!
